Shortage of iPhones reappeared
Last summer of 2008, demand for the iPhone 3G was heavy and supplies short, now it reappeared.
On Friday that only 29 of Apple’s 257 stores were displaying shortages of any iPhones (data based on IFOAppleStore ) , but there were red “sold out” lights for selected 3GS models in all but six states when Sunday morning.
In Louisville, the only store of Kentucky was completely sold out all models. In Texas, the 16GB model was sold out in all but three of the state’s 15 Apple Stores.
And the entry-level white iPhone 3GS seems to be the best selling model, it’s hard to know whether demand for that model is unusually high or if Apple just isn’t making enough of them.
Do you have already stored for your iPhone? Hurry up!
